Early Learning Coalition of Marion County, Florida
GOOD BEGINNINGS = GREAT ENDINGS!
The Early Learning Coalition of Marion County is dedicated to providing children and families in our community with access to quality early learning programs that nurture their learning potential and prepare them for their educational success. It is our mission to provide leadership and foster partnerships to optimize a quality early learning environment for our children through child care, voluntary pre-kindergarten and parent education.
PHOTO RIGHT: The Early Learning Coalition is pleased to partner with the Humane Society of Marion County for a summer reading program. Children ages 6 to 12 years can spend an hour reading aloud to the homeless shelter dogs. This program has been very successful for the dogs, and children, in other cities. Children who may be struggling with their reading skills find an appreciative and non-judgmental audience with the dogs. The Coalition will be supplying the books for the children to read and take home if they wish. Click here for more information.
