The Language of CLASS® – The Pre-K CLASS® Tool

Voluntary Prekindergarten (VPK) providers must annually participate in a program assessment of each VPK classroom per Section 1002.68, Florida Statutes. Program assessments measure the effectiveness of teacher-child interactions within the classroom. The Classroom Assessment Scoring System® (CLASS®) is the required program assessment tool.

The Division of Early Learning (DEL) offers two Virtual professional learning opportunities to support VPK directors and educators in the implementation of the CLASS®.

Available Virtual Sessions:

This session provides an introductory/general knowledge of the Pre-K CLASS® tool and highlights teacher-child interactions through the Pre-K CLASS® lens.
