Support in the Preschool Classroom

Voluntary Prekindergarten (VPK) providers must annually participate in a program assessment of each VPK classroom per Section 1002.68, Florida Statutes. Program assessments measure the effectiveness of teacher-child interactions within the classroom. The Classroom Assessment Scoring System® (CLASS®) is the required program assessment tool.

The Division of Early Learning (DEL) offers two Virtual professional learning opportunities to support VPK directors and educators in the implementation of the CLASS®

This session provides knowledge of resources and helpful strategies that align with the Florida Early Learning and Developmental Standards (FELDS), encourages teacher-child interactions and helps educators identify ways to improve their instructional practices.
