Sensational Sensory

We know as early childhood educators that children learn from their senses. Sensory play is currently seen as one of the key areas of play for babies and young children and a crucial part of their development. Sensory play is play that involves the use of one or more of the seven senses: touch, sight, smell, taste, hearing, proprioception, and vestibular.
– Participants will identify various symptoms of
sensory processing disorder.
– Participants will discuss various ways children can
expand their exploration of the world through
sensory integration.
