SUMMARY:Continuation of Instructional Support Series for Teachers: Everyday Math
DESCRIPTION:Each session has it’s own registration on our website professional development page. \nVirtual Platform Provided by Learning Beyond Paper \nEveryday Math: 7/30\n(1 In-Service Hour for PD + 1 In-Service Hour for Independent Practice)\nThis session\, crafted for early childhood educators\, highlights how math is interwoven in our everyday lives and can be effectively integrated into the preschool classroom. Participants will refresh their knowledge of math standards appropriate for young learners through engaging\, hands-on activities. The workshop will assist educators and caregivers in developing a daily schedule that naturally includes math\, showing how mathematical concepts can be a fluid\, engaging part of regular daily activities. This approach aims to build a foundational understanding and appreciation of math in young children\, emphasizing that math is all around us. This session will help teachers SEE math in every setting of their classroom and help them intentionally develop the child’s mathematical skills. \nGroup Reflection: Everyday Math: 8/6\n(1 In-Service Hour)\nGroup reflection sessions will be structured to discuss each participant’s ‘Noticing’s & Wonderings’ from the application of their expanded knowledge through the professional development sessions and independent follow-up activities.
