The Early Learning Coalition of Marion County (ELCMC) is pleased to announce the launch of our highly anticipatedLive Scan background screening service for VPK and School Readiness Providers in Marion County.
- Live Scan finger printing will be available at the ELCMC office (3304 SE Lake Weir Avenue Ocala FL 34471) every Friday, by appointment only, during the hours of 8:00am-11:00am. Late appointments will be cancelled 10 minutes after the scheduled appointment time.
- The cost of Live Scan services at the ELCMC is $50.00* paid via certified check, money order, or PayPal*. Service must be paid prior to appointment. PayPal users must present receipt at time of appointment.
- Appointments are scheduled in 20 minute increments over the three hour period for a maximum of ten (10) appointments per day. Applicants must call or come into the ELCMC office to schedule an appointment. Same day appointments are not available and will not be scheduled by the administrative assistant.
- Applicants wishing to schedule over the telephone will need to call the ELCMC and inform the administrative assistant that they are calling to schedule a “Live Scan Appointment”. The administrative assistant will take the applicant’s name, email address, and phone number as well as the name and phone number of the School Readiness and/or VPK site in which the applicant is employed, and schedule the next available appointment. The applicant will need to download and complete the Live Scan Application, located at the link below, before his/her scheduled appointment. Applicants must bring the completed application to their scheduled appointment along with a valid government issued photo ID and preferred payment method (copy of PayPal receipt if using PayPal online).
- No cash, personal checks, or business checks will be accepted as payment for Live Scan services.
- Appointments will be cancelled if the applicant arrives without a valid photo ID.
- Background screening results will be sent to the Department of Children and Families (DCF) for distribution. Applicants can contact the DCF Background Screening Help Desk at 850-717-4454 if results have not been received 7 business days after the applicant’s screening date.
